wood glue together
brad nail with 1 1/4" nail or longer or use screws if no brad nailer
drill through back board and attach to wall via wall anchors and screws
(your choice of type, just make sure they are stated for 50 lb. weight--to be on the safe side)
at 9", 18" and 27"
put books in
